Telangana Forensic Science Laboratory (TGFSL) provides extensive training and forensic awareness workshops/lectures to various agencies including Judges, Judicial Officers, Officers from IPS/DANICS Probationers, Defence Personnel, Scientists, and Students among other stakeholders. It also offers internships to over 200 M.Sc. forensic science students from different universities and invites its scientists for lectures at international and national forums.
TGFSL deputes its own scientists and officers for various courses and programs in reputed institutes across the country, including a two-year training program for newly joined Scientific Officers (SOs) covering all areas of forensic science. Additionally, the laboratory conducts regular classes, practical demonstrations, and long-term training programs on “Scientific Aid to Investigation” for user agencies such as departments of Police, Forensic Medicine, Forest, Military Police, and Judiciary.

Key Objectives
Welcome to the Citizen Charter of Telangana State Forensic Science Laboratory (TSFSL). This charter aims to provide you with a transparent understanding of our services and commitments.
- FSL shall conduct orientation/refresher training for all the SHOs/IOs/SDPOs and other Police Officers in the Telangana State at regular Intervals on the subjects relevant to them.
- FSL shall also conduct orientation/refresher training for all the staff working in the Clues Teams of all the Commissionerates/Districts in the Telangana State at regular Intervals with regard to collection, preservation and handling the Material objects from the scene of Crime. These trainings shall be compulsory for any one who is part of the Clues team.
- Any other training for Police, other stakeholder departments or any other organizations, as decided by the Director from time to time.
