This heinous crime took place in Hanamkonda, where the accused kidnapped a 9-month-old baby, sexually assaulted, and later smothered her leading to the baby’s death. The forensic experts at TGFSL processed the swabs and clothing belonging to the baby and the blood samples from the accused for DNA extraction, which was further subjected to Autosomal and Y-STR analysis. The DNA profiles obtained from the victim articles matched with that of the accused blood samples and proved they were of the same. Based on the evidentiary report furnished by the forensic DNA expert the Hon’ble Court sentenced the accused with a death penalty.
